Company News | Hoffen Polymer Implements Multiple Measures to Strengthen Safety Management and Ensure Safe Resumption of Work and Production

Recently, in order to fully implement the instructions on workplace safety issued by Secretary Gao Jianmin during the May Day holiday, Xuzhou Hoffen Polymer Materials Co., Ltd. took swift action. In light of the actual conditions of post-holiday resumption of work and production, the company organized safety training and fire emergency drills to ensure that the enterprise’s primary responsibility for safety is effectively implemented and to strengthen the foundation of workplace safety.

During the May Day holiday period, Hoffen Polymer strictly adhered to the “six standardization” requirements for safety production management, continuously carried out hazard inspections and rectification, and improved emergency response plans as well as duty shift and on-call systems. The company’s management attached great importance to these measures. Immediately after the holiday, a special meeting was convened to communicate and study the relevant requirements, and Chairman Chen Zhijun deployed specific implementation plans. It was clearly stated that “post-resumption safety training and fire emergency drills” would serve as key measures to execute the instructions, ensuring that all requirements are fully implemented.

Focusing on the “full participation” requirement within the “six standardization” safety management framework, the company conducted comprehensive safety training covering all employees for the resumption of work and production. The training focused on key areas such as standard operating procedures for each position, risk identification and hazard inspection methods, and emergency response procedures.

During the meeting, Production Director Wei Chongyuan emphasized that every employee is a critical link in the safety defense line. The concept of “everyone understands safety, everyone can respond to emergencies” must be internalized in mindset and reflected in daily actions.

At the same time, the Safety and Environmental Protection Department carried out a comprehensive hazard inspection of key areas including workshops, laboratories, and warehouses, and further refined the “Safety Operation Manual” to ensure that standardized “manual-based” management is effectively implemented at the frontline of each position.

In the fire emergency drill session, the company simulated a sudden fire outbreak in the production area to test the full response capability from fire detection and emergency evacuation to initial firefighting.

During the drill, once the alarm sounded, personnel evacuated quickly and in an orderly manner to the designated safe assembly area. Safety and Environmental Protection Manager Sun Zhongcheng provided on-site instruction on the proper use of fire extinguishers and fire hydrants, and organized employees to practice one by one, ensuring that each participant mastered firefighting skills and emergency escape procedures.

After the drill, Production Manager Chen Fafeng conducted a comprehensive review of the entire process, providing improvement suggestions on details such as evacuation efficiency and equipment access, and further refined and improved the emergency response plan.

Chairman Chen Zhijun stated that workplace safety must be implemented in real terms and integrated into every process and every position. Hoffen Polymer will take this series of activities as an opportunity to continuously promote the normalized implementation of the “six standardization” management system, sustain regular safety training and emergency drills, ensure that life-saving evacuation routes remain unobstructed, and firmly uphold the bottom line of safety.
