Auction | Kopenhagen Fur Announces July 2026 Auction in Poznań, Poland

Xuzhou Hoffen Chemicals Co., Ltd. 2026-2-5 17:43:11

Poznań, Poland – [January 30, 2026] – Kopenhagen Fur today announced an update to its auction schedule for this year. The company’s first auction of 2026 will be held in early July in Poznań, Poland. The detailed schedule is as follows:

Auction dates: July 6–8
Skin inspection dates: July 3–5

This decision is based on Kopenhagen Fur’s commitment to organizing professional and robust auctions that meet the needs of both suppliers and buyers. Since announcing its return to the market earlier, the company has attracted widespread attention from the global fur industry, while also carefully considering the practical operational steps involved in launching its relocated international auction platform.

The schedule adjustment is based on multiple factors. Strong demand for the selected auction venue in Poznań has made coordinating a spring auction challenging. In addition, many supplying farms have expressed a clear preference to attend the auction in person, and moving the event to July better accommodates this need. Consolidating pelt supply into a single summer auction will help optimize coordination, increase participation, and ensure smooth execution of the overall event.

From the buyers’ perspective, the postponed auction dates will offer greater convenience. Many of Kopenhagen Fur’s Chinese customers are based in Asia and require Schengen visas to attend European auctions. Holding the auction in July provides buyers with more time for visa applications and allows better planning and coordination of international travel.

The July auction is expected to offer between 1.5 million and 2 million high-quality pelts, with a focus on short-nap pelts and a variety of rare color types, providing highly competitive supply for the international market.

“The original vision behind Kopenhagen Fur was to build a strong, transparent, and globally influential auction platform,” said Kasper Reinbacher, CEO of Kopenhagen Fur. “We understand that adjusting the original schedule may cause some inconvenience, but change also brings opportunity and growth. This decision enables us to deliver a better auction experience for all participants and lay a solid foundation for the upcoming retail season.”

Further details regarding the exact auction dates, offering catalog, and registration will be announced in subsequent press releases.
